Contents
Congratulations! You started a new adventure in the world of Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5!
Taking your time to explore the game’s menu can give you a bit of help right off the start. It will tell you what you can do and what you can unlock.
Clicking the Loadout button at the top left corner of your screen will allow you to change your character’s looks, weapons, and cosmetics.
Equipment
Picking up the Medications
When you first spawn in, you will be spawned beside the command center. You will see a couple of white tables inside a tent to your front. You can find very useful equipment on the white tables. By pressing F on the keyboard, then using the scroll wheel on your mouse to select an option, and then left clicking, you can pick up one of each item shown on the table. They can be equipped using the 3 and 4 keys and used with pressing/holding the left mouse button.
Picking up the Gear
— Torch: Can be used when you’re in complete darkness and need some light to see where you’re going.
— Flare: Can be used to signal your team and other players that you’re in trouble, or need to evacuate a certain area.
— M67: A grenade that can be thrown at enemy forces to blow them up, lethal damage.
What your gear menu should look like
— M18: A smoke grenade that if thrown correctly, can conceal you and your team from hostiles or it can be used as an unconventional flare.
Medications
They can be used to heal your character up, but some come at a price.
— Bandages: The bandages are free, as they can heal only 10 health points or your health in a couple of seconds. You can only hold 10 of them.
— Dressings: The dressings have a price of 10$ and you can hold only 5 of them. They only heal 5 health, however, using a bandage right after the dressing is applied will heal an extra 15 health.
— Vitamins: Vitamins have a price of 50$ and you can only hold 2 of them. They regenerate 100% of your health, but you have to wait 5 seconds to fully regenerate.
— Extra Info: Supply drops contain bandages, and they have a supply of 100 bandages and 1000 ammo. Use it wisely!
Once you’ve gotten whatever equipment you need, all individual items will show on your hotbar, which can be seen on the bottom right of your screen.
Restocking on ammo
Ammo Boxes at the Base
You can also find the ammo box, found in almost every base you can enter. You must have expended some ammo to use the ammo box. Having your gun out, tapping F on your keyboard once, and then clicking with your left mouse will instantly fill up all of your ammunition for the weapon you’re holding, remember to fill both of your weapons just incase you fired your weapon.
Ammo boxes can also be found in the field at some locations, but they come with 1000 bullets. Supply drops that drop after a base it taken also only has 1000 rounds, along with 100 bandages.
Going back to the menu in-game
If you would like to change your appearance or weapons, there is a laptop available at the resupply station. By tapping F and clicking the left mouse button, you will be sent back to the menu screen from which you can then do as you please.
Spawning a vehicle
Once all of your gear is in order, you may want to start traveling. The most common method (and only one available at low levels) is by vehicle. There is another tent-like area to the right of the supply tent. If you walk over there, you will see some little screens. Walk up to one and F+LMB, or F+Scroll+LMB to spawn one.
Players can also travel by aircraft, but it is limited to either gaining enough experience to spawn one at the helipads, traveling with another player who can access it, or buying the chinook gamepass.
