«Let’s build robots with genuine people personalities, they said. So they tried it out on me. I’m a personality prototype. You can tell, can’t you.»
— Marvin the Paranoid Android (The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy)
It’s like I’ve been waiting 40 years for a mod like this! Most thoroughly endorsed.
I often get a lot of random encounters in the Concord/Drumlin Diner area. So it’s fun to get an assist from a robot provisioner, on the Red Rocket/Starlight Drive route, with a Mister Gutsy voice. I installed this mod alongside the robot faction paint jobs mod, and the results are fantastic.
Now I’m tempted to install the moddable robot settlers mod, and give the Graygarden robots quite the makeovers.
I love you so much. Endorsed.
Also, an idea I had. You should change the dialogue options for the Takahashi voice module to those of the beeping voice modules. Would make sense for the Sole Survivor to say communication will be hard like this and stuff.
Edit: Another idea. More of a request really, but should be very very simple. Could you add the voice module for those completely dead Mr. Handy worker bots at Graygarden. So like the Takahashi voice module really. Just that one dial-up sound lol. And would it be possible to make it so that with that voice module the bot doesn’t say anything if you come close to it except for when you explicitly press ‘E’.

=== More Automatron Voices ===
If you’re like me, you were very disappointed that the Automatron DLC was missing several voice types for robots in the game. We can build a Protectron and a Mister Handy, but not give them the proper voices? What gives, Bethesda?
This mod fixes that. It adds several new voice types for your Automatron robots, including:
— Mister Handy
— Mister Gutsy
— Miss Nanny
— Protectron
— Professor Goodfeels (only says stuff like «Whoa, man!» and «Groovy!»)
— Takahashi (says the same exact thing all the time, just like the real Takahashi!)
The robots can be used as companions just like any other automatron, and have the necessary response dialogue. However, do keep in mind that if you have subtitles turned on, they will not always match what the robot actually says. This is because Bethesda made all robot companions share the same dialogue lines, so there was no way for me to individually edit the subtitles for each voice type. You could always turn off subtitles if this mismatch bothers you, but it shouldn’t be an issue really. If anything, it lets you know what the «real» dialogue is, which comes in handy for the Professor Goodfeels and Takahashi voices.
I tried to make the dialogue match the subtitles as closely as possible, though. With the Protectron voice, I lucked out and was able to find quite a bit of voice files that almost exactly match. But for other robots, I just had to go with lines that mean something similar to what the subtitles say. So it won’t feel quite as fluid and intuitive as the default voices, but it’s still an improvement over no voices at all!
And yes, I know there’s another mod out there that adds more robot voices, but it was abandoned a couple years ago and never got out of the work-in-progress stage. This mod is fully complete.

Deeper Male Protagonist Voice
Note: Automatron patch is now available. Please read the special installation note below.
Note: Far Harbor patch is now available. Please read the special installation note below.
There were many requests for this. Having solved the female voice «problem» to my satisfaction, I personally will never make use of the male protagonist, but I know a lot of folks do. So here it is.
Plain and simple, this mod offers several flavors of deeper-sounding tweaks to the male protagonist’s voice. Deeper means deeper. It does not mean: A different accent, a different dialect, a dramatic change in pitch, or changes to other characteristics like how gravelly it sounds. No «Mad Max» rasp, sorry.
The video below is slightly spoilery, if you don’t yet know anything about a good neighbor.
Voice Type A1: 2.8% lower.
Voice Type A2: 5.6% lower.
Voice Type A3: 8.3% lower. This is about as far as the voice can go before it stops sounding believably human.
Voice Type A4: 10.9% lower. As requested.
Voice Type F1: 13.4% lower. For the sake of variety, here is a patently fake-sounding modification which, if nothing else, does sound somewhat more menacing.
Voice Type F2: 15.9% lower. As requested.
Installation (as of 2016-3-21):
1. Follow the Fallout 4 Mod Installation guide to learn the latest method for setting up custom mods.
* Go to your Fallout4.ini under My Documents/My Games/Fallout4
* Under Archive section, find ‘sResourceArchiveList=’ without the quotes.
* Copy and paste this line and replace the existing line after ‘sResourceArchiveList=’:
* Start your game and the voice should have change to your desired voice type.
* If you’re afraid of messing up the Fallout4.ini file, you can just place the commands below into Fallout4Custom.ini. It will leave the original one intact and use the one in Fallout4Custom.ini while avoiding faulty ini file.
* Extract the contents of the archive to your Fallout4\Data\ directory.
Special installation note about Automatron:
Special installation note about Far Harbor:
For the time being, this patch is being made available as loose files. Mod Organizer 2 is recommended. After installing, the same issue that exists with the Automatron DLC also evidently exists for Far Harbor, meaning similar steps may be necessary to force the mod to take priority:
2016-01-06: Added requested Type A4 and Type F2

About this mod
Ever feel that Mechanist and Rust Devil robots are all the same? That’s because they are. This mod changes all of that, and allows modded automatron parts to appear on «wild» robots.

Russian Author: sweddd | Automatron Randomized Bots (RU) |
Version 1.1
*WHAT DOES IT DO?*
Have you ever felt like all of the mechainst and/or rust devil robots are all the same? Does it seem like all the Doom Protectrons have the same armors and armament? Do they feel all alike?
Well, that’s because they are. Instead of randomized armors and weapons like the game leads you to believe, all Mechanist and Rust Devil robots are static. Instead of randomizing the armors and weapons on those bots, the bots have about 5-7 leveled variations of each type (Protectron, Handy, Assaultron, Sentry, Robobrain) and they aren’t randomized in the slightest. All Servomech Scrapbots have the same armor and weapon configurations. Not only does this make them feel samey, it also makes it difficult, if not impossible for modders of custom automatron parts to make mechanist/RD robots have those parts.
This mod seeks to change all of that. How does it accomplish this? First of all, it provides a collection of OMOD Modcols to randomize robot weapons, armors, etc, and overrides the NPC robots themselves to use them. That Doom Protectron is not the same as the last one you fought anymore, it’ll have a different set of armors and weapons. More importantly, it provides a framework for authors to insert their own work into this pool, allowing for even more variants. It can also allow other types of authors to use this framework to create randomized bots. IE Faction Packs for SimSettlements Conqueror with randomized bots, or Warlike/FCOM/ETC things.
It also introduces a few new weapons that you can not only put on your bots, but also that wild bots will be able to use as well.
This comes in two parts, the Framework, and the Overrider.
The Framework is an ESM that goes at the top of your load order below Automatron and Unofficial Patch. This contains all the Modcols and new weapons.
The Overrider goes on the bottom, it is meant to override things like overhaul mods or other things that alter the Automatron NPCs, this is what actually inserts the Modcols into the automatron NPCs. There are two versions of the overrider: the regular one, and the unleveled one. The regular one tries to keep some ballance by locking certain weapons behind certain levels. IE a Tankbot won’t appear with a fatman launcher until you’re in a level 60+ area. The unleveled version will make it so wild bots can use any weapon at any level. Pick only one Overrider, do not use both!
Finally are also a variety of patches for popular robot part mods out there. They go below the overrider. They all count as ESLs, so you won’t have to worry about it taking up precious load space. The patches can be found in the optional files section.
Unfortunately the parts patches will conflict with one another, and so if you wish to use multiple at once, you will need to create a merged patch for them to work together. While there is more than one method to accomplish this, the best method for doing so is through the use of matortheeternal’s Merge Plugin Utility. Keep in mind only some of the patches need to be merged this way. Do NOT merge the main files, the base mods, or the overrider into your merged patch! only merge the patches!
Update: I have included a pre-merged patch for those who don’t mind downloading all of the mods in the requirement section (minus Industrial City) and just want the «full randomized experience» with little hassle. Includes a Nuka-World version (That injects nuka world parts into RD/Mechanist robots) and a non-Nuka World version. Unfortunately if you want your randomized experience to be a little more custom (IE you don’t want AEWS or Assaultron Comatron) you will still need to create your own merged patch.
