Version 1.1
Both straight donations and premium membership donations accepted
In addition to removing the jetpack’s action point cost, this mod uses F4SE to detect when the player is using a jetpack, and applies a 250% movement speed boost, turning it into a terrific fast travel alternative and a gap closer during melee combat. Vertical thrust has been tweaked slightly to make hovering and horizontal flight easier.
As of version 1.1, a configuration holotape is included. Go to a chem station and, under «Utility», craft the «-Jetpack Overhaul-» item. Loading the holotape will allow you to adjust the magnitude of the horizontal speed boost, and all relevant game settings. Descriptions of what the game settings do are included in the configuration routine.
Version 1.2 adds improved compatibility (it should now be compatible with all jetpack mods that add the vanilla «dn_hasMisc_Jetpack» keyword). With this update, you will need to run the holotape initialization sequence before this mods changes will take effect.
Installation
Uninstallation
Nothing special. Game setting overrides and SetGameSetting do not persist across saves, so jetpacks will revert back to their original behavior after you uninstall. Don’t save mid-air though before uninstalling, or you will be stuck with the speed boost.
This mod will override other jetpack action point and thrust tweaks, but you can configure the various game settings via the included configuration holotape.
As of version 1.2, the effects are dependent upon the dn_HasMisc_Jetpack keyword. Many mod-added jetpacks (Jetpacks Unlimited, Cross Jetpack) use this keyword and will be compatible. Others require a patch to add the keyword. If you want to take a crack at making your mods compatible yourself, just add the keyword to the jetpack Armor or Mod Object, or let me know in the stickied comment in the comments section and I’ll take a look.
Jetpack Mod Authors: Adding the dn_HasMisc_Jetpack keyword to your Armor or ObjectMod jetpacks makes them compatible without a patch.
See the first sticky post in the comment section for a list of compatible mods.

Thanks to @SnowfirePlays for the sweet poster.
Take to the skies without that awful T- pose, stick to the ground with jet assisted sprinting, or find a nice middle ground with a nice little jump booster. The CROSS Jetpack features three variations: Jet Sprinter, Jetpack standard, and Jetpack Advanced. Craft the basic Jetsprinter at a CHEMLAB and upgrade it to the more advanced versions. Additionally, if you have CROSS prewar Cybernetics the Jetpack upgrades will show up right in the Cyber Torso’s mod list under gadgets/misc, no need to craft a secondary item at all.
Jet Sprinter: Run with ease, reduces sprint cost significantly. Build up some speed while sprinting and jump to gain a large boost to jump height.
Jetpack Standard: The Jetpack without that boring and overpowered power armor, all the features you love, none of the hassle.
Jetpack Advanced: Combine the best of both worlds, Jet sprint for those medium gaps, and Jetpack for those high ledges.
If you want full features make sure to update CROSS Cybernetics to the latest version!
Customization: Built in 32 colors to paint the jetpack, along with two jet colors. If you use this mod with CROSS Cybernetics (v103 or later) your jetpack can use the same textures/colors as your Cyber Torso.
REMINDER: Screenshot auto-approve is ALWAYS on for all of my mods, showoff your sweet new gear.
v.92
Rebuilt the mod almost completely to better fit Bethesda.net standards
—No longer requires Cosmetic Framework to customize colors
—Still hooks optionally hooks into Cybernetics
Cybernetics Gadget mod now uses a separate material from the regular material (still uses same index, no workaround for this)
—When you first add the jetpack to the Cyber Torso a new mod category will appear in the armor-mod list
—Unfortunately this will show as just «Material» at first, but will update to «JetpackTex» when you pick a texture
Cleaned up the VFX scripts a bit, hopefully this will fix crashing issues some people are getting.
Switched to Ba2 archives, all files go in data folder.
Improved Jet visuals by adding some more sparks and smoke puffs
—these are very subtle, still far from the original smokestack effect from the original jetpack FX
Added some fall damage upgrades to the standalone Jetpack
—two tiers of fall damage reduction at 30/60%
Added palette textures to archive
—You’ll still need the CosmeticFramework to use color customizations
CRAFTED AT CHEMLAB. Under Utilities. Colors/Size are customized at any ARMORBENCH.
If you are running CROSS Prewar Cybernetics the jetpack will be a Gadget/Misc upgrade for the Cyber Torso.

The next update was going to far, it became a new mod.
Thank you so much for the support of this mod for such a long time, I strongly recommend the next generation of jetpack mod here:
Update 1.2 Change log
— Adding a global model (Jangles the moon monkey) to this personal jetpack, no more vanishing issue!
— As some people has reported the abnormal AP consumption, I have added 3 more records in v1.2, which significantly decreases the AP consumption, and slightly raises the speed. It is now with a reasonable duration and speed in my personal POV.
— Making both slot 58 variations as main files, and leaving esp/mesh replacer as optional, which will probably be less confusing.
— Updated with my thanks to all of you.
What does this mod do?
Alternative way to leave the vault.
In this short video, I’d like to show the newest adjustment for male character (the larger scale optional mesh). Since I don’t have any male character and being too lazy to create one from the beginning, so I just used the save file shared on Nexus.
*In short, I don’t own the copyright for this face.
Really appreciated for these outstanding spotlight videos, thanks for your supports, I am honored.
And once again, thanks to the amazing jetpack model J3litzkrieg created and the editing work of nhimkoko. I didn’t make it alone.
Update 1.11
— Adding Chem Lab recipe for non-Crafting Workbenches user
— Fixing FX reference (my mistake that didn’t refer it correctly)
Minor Update for the models
Relocating the flame effect, also reduce the size of visual effect to 50% (or my butt will be a well-done steak, at least now it’s just medium). Adding optional files to enlarge the jetpack for 10% for male and 20% for female character.
Optional Effects:
The jetpack in real life.
Seeing any flame?
Now you have the option to remove the flames, or even the smoke with it.
MUST DO AFTER UPDATE:
Unequip the jetpack and equip it again, or the visual effect changes may not be applied.
Description
Adding a wearable jetpack item into the world. By wearing it, you now gain the jetpack ability AND IGNORE THE FALLING DAMAGE, completely.
The armor slot is 61, only conflict with some specific things occupying slot 61. As far as I know, some backpack mod uses this slot. However, I won’t allow you to wear a backpack and the jetpack at the same time. so, let’s say there won’t easily be a conflict with the others.
There is a minor thing about this jetpack, probably not worthy to mention, but I also gave it 5 points of damage resistance, well, just making sense if you got a little chance to get a shot from the back.
(The picture shows 50 DR was taken when I was testing and confirming everything just fine, not the final version)
Either way, you can always add it by using console command, the FormID is XX000802 (you have to figure out the number for this mod in plug-in list)
