The Institute never had a need or a desire for Power Armor. They had locals turned operatives, they had the gen 1 and 2 Synths for surface missions, later on the coursers.
But what happened when a Institute member had to be there in person, to oversee a mission, to ensure it must go right?
Times like these required a use of the R-20 Exo Suit. The EXO suit component provides excellent damage protection, increased strength and Carry Weight. The Clean room Suit worn under it provides excellent radiation and Bio-hazard Protection.

Details:
The base outfit itself is enough to completely neutralize minor radiation hazards from shallow water, and when worn with all items of the set provides near total immunity to radiation on par with industrial hazmat suits. A special context menu that can be accessed by equipping the outfit while in pip-boy mode will allow you to swap outfit styles anywhere any time, without the need for an armor bench.
The IEX mask acts as an advanced gasmask, light source, and is a platform for advanced tech modules, which can help an Institute agent navigate the less friendly elements of the wasteland. In addition the mask can be attached to the base outfit’s belt when not being worn.

-The outfit is not added to any leveled lists, it can only be found in hand placed locations or crafted.
-Console search «IEX» to get the loadorder unique IDs.

IEX Outfit:
When equipped through the pipboy a context menu will allow you to change outfit style anywhere in the wasteland, the context menu requires that there be only one IEX outfit in your inventoryor it will not display properly.
-Undershirt Toggle: Enable / Disabled
—This option only matters on outfit styles that have an open jacket or no jacket.
-Belt style: Default / Kellogg
-Mask on Belt Toggle: Disabled / Automatic
—This feature will equip the IEX mask to the belt of the outfit when not being worn.
—When enabled, this adds an extra option to pick the glass color for the mask on the belt.
—REQUIRES that you have only a single IEX outfit in your inventory, this is a technical limitation of the script, similar to the context menu.
—The mask on belt will use the outfit’s current skin.
-Armpatch
—This is the only factional marking on the entire outfit, and it can be swapped independently of the skin

-The Nexus download is fully functional with 2k resolution for the three lore-friendly skins (Classic, Modern, and SRB).
-The extra skins in the Nexus download use low-res placeholders to give you a preview and keep file size down.
-The Gumroad download is «pay what you want», with a minimum of 0.00 USD.
-Meaning that every part of this mod is still free. No charges are required anywhere, and if you do choose to pay it is still considered a donation.
-There is a second texture download that ups the resolution all of the skins including the three base skins to 4k resolution.

Q: Is this paid mods?
A: No, every part of the mod is still free. The fully functional mod is free right here on the Nexus, just like mods have always been. Gumroad considers anything with a zero minimum price a donation, which means even if you choose to pay for the pack you are still just donating.
Q: Do I need a Gumroad account?
A: Nope, Gumroad remembers what you’ve downloaded based on the email you give it. If you want to download something again later but don’t remember the link you can make an account with the same email and it will show up at gumroad.com/library. Because the content is free you do not need to give Gumroad a real email address, the download link is provided on-site.
Q: Why do this if everything to do with the mod is free anyway?
A: Several reasons: This keeps the filesize down so people can get the mod quickly. People who don’t care about the extra skins don’t have to download an extra Gig of content. Gumroad also offers an uncapped bandwidth limit for all users (Nexus caps at 1024 kb/s for non-premium accounts), which is ideal for huge files like the 4k texture pack. This also streamlines donations for the folks that don’t want to deal with paypal.

Translations available on the Nexus
This mod changes the entire catalogue of clothes for the institute.
This includes the following changes:
The standard synth uniform has been replaced by a new one.
Colored versions for each of the 4 vanilla institute divisions.
A 5th division, left out of vanilla, has been identified.
All children have a synth uniform fitting their size.
The scientist are equipped with the IEX suit.
The coursers are equipped with the Strigidae armor.
X6-88 got one of those as well.
Father has a new coat.
Fitting synth armor & matching institute weapons.
There are 2 versions. White & Black.
White for a clean institute. Black for a dark institute.
Each one of the uniforms is it’s own separate outfit.
This means there is a standard synth uniform and 5 division uniforms with their respective logo on the sleeve.
These logo’s have been tweaked, so they don’t warp in game anymore. (see FAQ)
Their color has been changed so they match better with the uniform.
The 5th division, and arguably the most important one, now has a uniform & logo. (see FAQ)
The robotics division is now red instead of orange.
Their division color is red after all.
The coursers come equipped in the shadow skin in both versions.
They also make use of a preinstalled «Human Highlight» module.
The scientist come equipped with a modified white & black skin for the IEX suit.
One for each version.
The children synth uniform has been tweaked so it won’t clip around the sleeves.
The armors, including Strigidae & IEX are NOT craftable and only obtainable from whomever wears it.
Once obtained, they can be modified like usual.
The IEX suit can still be found in the locations where that mod puts them.
Rebalanced both armors.
The weapons being visible on the NPC’s is not included in this mod. Here

Download with any mod manager.
Niero’s Strigidae Armor is required.
Make sure to get the vanilla meshes and overwrite.
Niero’s IEX Suit is required.
Make sure to get the skinpack for both, the included textures are low resolution.
Just read, you will figure out how to get them for free.
The mod only touches institute outfits.
No mod I know touches the outfits which means it’s compatible with everything.
A very similar mod might do unexpected things.
Synth Overhaul C.A.S.T will work with a minor conflict. Place it over this mod. (See FAQ)
The clothing will only show up on NPC’s that have not yet spawned.
If you see an NPC that is not wearing the correct outfit, walk up, open console, click the NPC and type resurrect. It should respawn with the correct outfit.
If you use a body mod, it will most likely need a patch.
If there is a patch already available somewhere for the armor or clothing used, then it will work out of the box.
I will not make any of these patches.
I made several patches for an array of gameplay overhaul mods.
Download the main file then overwrite with whatever patch you need.
The main esp works for Vanilla & Unbogus.
The patches makes all other cross patches obsolete.
Do not use them. This includes Horizon.
Multiple BLD patches from the Look At Me series need to be merged together.

Open up FormID list, It should be pretty straightforward what needs to be done.
What changed from the previous iteration?
It’s much cleaner then it was before.
I introduced something called scope creep. I wanted to fill more niches and it ultimately didn’t turn out as clean as I wanted.
And when I came around to remaking it, I decided I wanted to include a black version.
What do I do with the Strigadae holotape in my inventory?
It’s a script injection to put the armor on the coursers. It’s already done in this mod.
I don’t know what will happen if you run it. It probably won’t break anything. Then again it might duplicate the armor or something.
Throw it away.
Why make them not craftable?
It’s an easy integration into the game without creating conflicts, that’s why every mod author does it.
You can gather some materials and craft the Strigidae armor, an endgame armor, within an hour of starting a new game.
Now you have to kill a courser for it.
What’s with the logo patches?
The original textures used for the uniforms comes with these nice round patches for each division.
It looks great on the texture itself, but once in game, because of the different male & female skeletons, they warp and become oval.
I tried putting them all over the uniform, in different spots, but the warping happened everywhere.
NPC idle animation, like sitting or leaning or walking, will also warp them in various ways.
To counteract the warping, I squeezed them on the textures, and kept testing and tweaking until I hit a nice mark for both genders.
No matter what the NPC does now, they will look good. It’s not perfect but as good as they can look.
What’s with this 5th division?
In the vanilla game, there is a 5th division, but they are not identified at all.
They are called «Facilities», and are pretty much in charge of maintaining the institute. Without them, the other divisions could not function.
That makes them pretty important to the success of the institute and therefore they deserve their own uniform and logo.
They are now donning the color of yellow and I gave them a fitting logo.
What’s with the minor conflict with Synth Overhaul C.A.S.T?
This mod is fully vanilla. That means whichever mod wants to overwrite it can be placed above mine without causing issues.
The aesthetic of C.A.S.T clashes with the vanilla aesthetic I was going for. If some of you want more color variety on the synth armors, who am I to stop you.
That said, C.A.S.T adds 2 synth uniforms to the game which will overwrite mine and break the continuity between my mod’s uniforms.
A patch is available under optional files. Place this patch after this mod and all other requirements.
