Description:
This project aims to consolidate all the different anime styled portrait mods on the workshop into a single portrait set. UPDATE: There are so many anime portraits on the workshop now that in a addition to the full portrait set there is also a Human, Monster, and Mech portrait set available.
Since I donβt want to redistribute portraits other people made for logical reasons, you will need to install any supported mods you wish to use the portraits of. For this reason, this mod is divided into several modules. After installing the core module, portraits are added by installing the original mods and related extensions for this project.
Not achievement compatible.
Working on version 2.1.*
How it works:
* The core mod adds the empty portrait sets and some other definitions.
* The original portrait mods provide portrait graphic files and their own portrait sets.
* The extensions take those graphic files and add them to the portrait sets from the core mod.
How to use:
1. Subscribe to the core mod (this one)
2. Use the Anime Portrait Project collection to choose mods you wish to have the portraits of.
3. Subscribe to the original mods from the collection.
4. Subscribe to the required extensions from the extension.
Be sure to activate the core mod and BOTH the original mod and extension for every addon.
Alternatively, if you want all the portraits, subscribe to the entire Anime Portrait Project collection with the βSubscribe to allβ button.
Features in the core mod:
* An few empty portrait set, listed as βAPP β Humanβ, βAPP β Monsterβ, βAPP β Mechβ, and βAPP β Allβ in the empire builder.
* A custom japanese/anime themed namelist, named βJapanese (For APP)β:
β Japanese names for ships, fleets and planets.
β Anime character names for people.
β Sequential names using Japanese for fleets, frontier outposts and armies. These are most likely not translated correctly.
Supported Mods:
The list was getting so big that the description was longer than the workshop allows. See the collection for all the supported mods and their extensions:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=696600604
Extra Extensions:
* A mod to restore the original loading screens and leader rooms which are modified by some of the supported mods. Also disables the Animaris and Harem Planet music.
β http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=696486308
* A mod that disables random galaxy generation for all the supported mods. This does not disable galaxy generation for the entire portrait pack or for custom species. The idea behind this is to prevent having a galaxy full of βpartialβ anime empires even though you already have a βfullβ one. If you do want a specific portrait set to spawn you can make a custom species for it.

Animated Synthetic Portraits
To celebrate the upcoming Utopia expansion, which will allow the player to turn his species into synthetic creatures, here you have the synthetic progression path.
-If you own the Synthetic Dawn DLC this mod now only replaces the humanoid portraits. It otherwise works as usual.
Three new portraits to make the synthetic variants more easily recognizable.
Robots still use the Vanilla portrait, the first image on top.
Droids use the second image, which comes in a few color variants.
Synths use the third image.
AI Consciousness uses the fourth.
Is this mod not enough for your needs? Do you wish non-humanoid species to use non-humanoid synths? Or do you wish to play as a Synthetic Empire from the start? Then try the Expanded version of this mod.
Unfortunately, after the Synthetic Dawn DLC I was forced to make this mod a little more intrusive. It now will be incompatible with any other mod that changes the following file:
I’m writing a story about the factions/species I’m creating, you can find the first chapter here:

For those who still play Stellaris 2.1: I created a new AI mod which is based on Glavius’s work, but my mod goes much deeper and have a lot of unique features, leading to much better AI. And also I update it quite often, adding new stuff.
@MechaShadowV2
There could be any number of reasons. Nature, nurture, or that the internet brings out the worst in people. Your guess is as good as mine.
Despite being grumpy, I believe that I did in fact write something helpful, and not just criticize.
Anything else you wanna bring up, from under your bridge?
Have you guys even tried playing with the mod, or read recent comments, before complaining about lacking update or asking whether it works?
This is a purely cosmetic mod, so unless something major is changed in the recent game patches, it should still work.
Hint : major changes have been made. Which should be fairly obvious from this thread.
As I recall the mod broke around the 2.3 patch.
There are several mods deriving from/keeping alive silfae ‘s great work, here on the workshop.
He has been gone for over two years now. Which you would know, if you had just read a few of the latest posts here, or the mod update history. So i wouldn’t hold my breath for him reviving this mod.
To the best of my knowledge, the mod that Raffaele has linked in the discussion still works, despite the Mod name, and what the launcher says.
Else there is this one.
if none work, I’ve seen several others just now. It would surprise me if none work.
