Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor & модификации?
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor — экшен с видом от третьего лица, разрабатываемый Monolith Productions и издаваемый Warner Bros. Как не трудно догадаться по названию — игра делается по мотивам властелина колец, где игрокам предстоит побывать в роли доблестных воинов Талиона. Талион и его семья были убиты Сауроном, однако сам Талион был воскрешен при помощи мистических духов, которые дали ему свои способности. Warner Bros хвастаются тем, что игра будет «динамической» — подстраиваться под выборы игрока. Ну и что самое главное — нам обещают возможность создавать собственные битвы, врагов и награды.
Даты релиза игры еще нет, однако известно что она выйдет на: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 и PC.

То ли сюжет игры будет просто вдребезги разбивать все каноны вселенной Арды, то ли наши горе-переводчики, как всегда, второпях переводя текст, полностью исковеркали весь его смысл. Ибо если судить по данной статье и по по статьям с других сайтов, игра будет лишь «по-мотивам LoTR.»
Для примера, описание с другого сайта:
«По словам разработчиков, «игра предложит новую главу, отлично вписавшуюся между «Хоббитом» и «Властелином Колец». События Shadow of Mordor разворачиваются в Мордоре, задолго до того, как он превратился в пустошь. А в качестве главного героя выступает рейнджер по имени Талион. Саурон и его приспешники убили семью Талиона, и тот решил отомстить.»
Во-первых: Мордор почти всегда был и навсегда остался мрачной и безлюдной пустошью. Таковым он был ещё со времен первых войн Валар с Мелькором, в частности с разрушения Утумно. (Впрочем, тогда всё Средиземье было разрушено и осквернено многолетней войной).
Во-вторых, Талиона, главного героя этой игры, как утверждают многие источники, никоим образом не могли вернуть с того света какие-то «таинственные духи», ещё и непонятно откуда взявшиеся. Ни один Майар или даже Валар (кроме, разве что, Мандоса) не в праве так поступать, без воли Эру Илуватора. Удостоиться такой чести может только легендарный герой, совершивший величайший подвиг в борьбе с Морготом. А такой был только один — Берен, возлюбленный Лучиэнь, имя которых на веки останутся на устах всех эльфов и людей, сохранивших память о тех днях. И мне кажется необычайно странным вдруг не с того и не с сего втюхивать пресонажа с такой историей, в временной промежуток, описанный в Легендариуме Толкиена. Мне был бы понятен их выбор, если бы события игры происходили после Властелина Колец, но так… Такое чувство, что разработчики знакомы со вселенной Толкиена только по фильмам. Надеюсь что это лишь слухи и неточная информация, и что они исправятся.
Ну а в принципе, я не припомню ни одной годной РПГ, (судя по всему, это будет именно РПГ) по этому сеттингу. Так что, надеемся и ждем.
Лучше бы они сделали эту игру по такому мотиву:
Феанор велел остановиться: раны его были смертельны, и он знал, что час его близок. И, бросив последний взгляд со склонов Эред Вэтрина, он узрел вдали пики Тангородрима, мощнейшей из твердынь Средиземья, и осознал в прозрении смерти, что никогда не достанет у нолдоров силы сокрушить их; но трижды проклял он имя Моргота и оставил сыновьям завет хранить клятву и отомстить за отца. Затем он умер; но нет у него ни могилы, ни гробницы, ибо столь пламенным был его дух, что, едва он отлетел, — тело Феанора стало золой и развеялось, как дым; и подобных ему никогда больше не появлялось в Арде, а дух не покидал чертогов Мандоса. Так закончил жизнь величайший из нолдоров, чьи дела принесли им огромную славу и гибельнейшую беду.
ИМХО
Делать игру про «Властелин Колец» — идея так себе. У фаната серии Толкина уже давно сформировалось свое продолжение, неписаные события и все-все-все (для фанатов без фантазии — Ник Перумов). Не-фанату, как ни странно, срать, что там: Лордерон, Средиземье или Фейрун — мечи магия и длинноухие. Так нафига? Было бы логичней скреативить фентезийный мирок про мечи и магию, но с блекджеком и шлю… псиониками и астральным планом. Да любительские поделки по D&D порой насчитывают тысячи страниц бека и проработку мира не хуже профессора.
Вообще, сейчас пошла стремная мода делать сиквелы, приквелы, сиквелы к приквелам, приквелы к сиквелам, вбоквелы и прочую хрень богомерзкую. Понятно, что причастность к громкому имени точно поможет окупить затраты на производство, авось и на пиво останется, но блиииин… Сумели же Биотвари замутить Dragon Age, чертовски интересную и шикарно прописанную, с толковым миром и предысторией? Так вон, игре не первый год, а все еще популярна.
Зря они так, короче. Зря-зря-зря-зря. И даже то, что «по мотивам» их не оправдывает. Художественная импотенция, не иначе.

Ололоды по сути норм, но уж слишком задротистая выходит. Терпеть не могу квесты которые надо по пол года выполнять
Ну там еще квест на сбор какой-то фигни для 2го билда месяца 3 надо делать. Причем ладно бы что-то интересное было, так нет, все одно и то же каждый день повторять, бред ппц.
