Mine In Abyss: The Abyss Recreation of Made In Abyss
Overview
The Mine In Abyss server is a recreation of the Made in Abyss anime. With a fully explorable abyss spanning 8,000 blocks vertically, allowing players to enjoy the delving experience in Minecraft. The map is not available for download, because the map relies on the server’s plugins to function. The map also keeps this project alive and we do not want to segment the community. Keeping the map and community in one place ensures work on the project continues.
Will expand it later, but for now here is a bunch more images from our anniversary post.

Survival Events
We’ve held two big events on survival last year, both themed after other series:
Adventure
For a while now, we’ve been planning a separate server that could deliver more than regular Minecraft experience. Nothing was getting done in that regard, so we decided to start a design team to get things rolling! The team has been really great, and we’re starting to build an image of what we want to achieve.
We’ve gone through a lot of iterations when coding our relics system, and have recently settled on using Entity Component Systems (ECS). This design pattern is common in some bigger games and nicely lets us make both relics and mobs super modular.
The survival server will exist alongside adventure. Survival’s goal is to be Minecraft in the abyss, while adventure will be a more hardcore unique game mode. Our plans for adventure may change in the future, so we won’t give too much info right now.
So far it’s looking like a roguelike with some long term progression systems, we hope to make the delving experience similar to a run of MineZ, while addressing some of its progression issues and overall lack of variety. Alright, I’ll keep my mouth shut now, but we hope to get a basic playable server working within half a year. We know it’s slow, but stay tuned!

Mine in abyss: MIA in Minecraft
Who would not want to immerse themselves in the world of Made In Abyss? Now, thanks to fans of MIA, we can try it in minecraft!
The builder team has recreated a great part of Orth and the first 4 layers of the abyss, as well as the structures that appear in the anime.
Just walking through the streets of the city you can appreciate the love and dedication that has been dedicated to the smallest details. The street stores have food and books exposed. Each house has its own decoration. Even a simple attic is decorated with cobwebs and boxes lying on the floor!
The development team is not far behind either.
They have been able to give us the possibility to explore the abyss without the normal depth limit of a minecraft world, climb walls with a stamina system and even be affected by the curse when ascending. They have also made the players can not swim up in waterfalls nor jump into lakes from high places.
Actually they are working to implement the creatures of the abyss with their own IAs.
I will make another blog about the experience of playing in the survival server. By now, I’m going to leave you information about the server and how you can join as well as some photos I took.
The map is running in a 24/7 server hosted in eastern United States, and is running Minecraft 1.13.2. The server is 100% vanilla so you don’t need any mod to play. Only premium accounts can join.
