So this is a mod that adds a custom race child version of playable children without the clashing of other children mods thats adds children with missing tintings.

So playable Children alters some tinting layers to get it working without crashing upon trying into a vanilla child. That sounds great and all but it only causes more problems. It gives children npcs invalid tinting if they have any in the npc record, this causes the game to crash while trying to load these missing tintings. a patch can be made yes but its tedious and annoying. So heres a custom race version of the same mod.

This one works with orphans, diverse children and raider children without issue. A patch will still be made if needed.

So to get started, you need to get into the character creation and pick some presets, theres boys girls and ghouls to pick them with many different colored eyes to fit. After you are done you can either enter Player.Setrace HC or Player.Setrace GC. Then you will need to enter Player.Setscale 0.825. If turning back to adult Setrace Human. Do not use Setrace Player.HumanChild or Player.Setrace GhoulChild. It will crash the game

You can also craft a item to turn into one of them, which always makes u smaller. or bigger if using the adult one.

FEMALE CHILDREN USERS: Due to this being a custom race, the lipstick is forced onto the females and will be pure black unless you either take it off or change the color. If you forget to turn off the lipstick it will turn black as soon as you change the race.

PLAYABLE CHILDREN USERS: If you wanna upgrade too the custom race. You need to load up ur playable children save and turn yourself into a human then you disable playavle children and enable Custom Playable Children

Childrens Headwear will not work by default so you will need to use the patch for it. Female Ghouls comes actual female underwear textures, its slightly darker. Custom Race Children will use their own meshes and textures, they only share the texture for the head.


If you want to replace a model or texture from this mod, read this:

So you want to replace the body and hands and textures with a cbbe model? or whatever you wanna do? Well Damn Here it is.

Extract the models you want to replace.

Human/Ghoul ChildBody or Human/Ghoul ChildBodyFemale
and
Human/Ghoul ChildHands or Human/Ghoul ChildHandsFemale

If you are replacing it with a cbbe model or whatever, you also might wanna replace the first person models as well.

Now get your modded model and go to the folder with the models you have extracted.

Rename your modded mesh to the name of the mesh u wanna replace then place it in the folder to overwrite CPC Vanilla Model.

Now it should show up as a cbbe model or whatever model you replaced it with.

Go to this folder Textures\Actors\Character\CustomChildren in B.A.E. and there will be a ghoul and human folder. Pick one of them you want.

Extract the Textures you want to replace.

Human/Ghoul ChildBody Textures or Human/Ghoul ChildBodyFemale Textures
and
Human/Ghoul ChildHands Textures or Human/Ghoul ChildHandsFemale Textures

Replace whatever texture you extracted with your modded texture. Your modded texture has to be the same name as the one you want to replace so it overwrites it.

You have to replace the texture with your model one.

It may look hard but its pretty easy to do.

Children of Fallout is a mod which provides more realistic approach to the children in Fallout. The mod adds enemy children, random encounters, and will include 4 child followers in a later version. All children are not brave fighters, the mod takes that into account, in addition to adding 100’s of different looks new hair, eyes, and races.

OK ALL!! I have some news regarding the future of this mod. Iknow that development is sporadic.. I have to work on it while managing a very demanding job. Here is what is in the works:

1. NEW OOTC PATCH UNDER DEVELOPMENT..Please be patient I have to update NIFs for OOTC to work with my children which will be integrated into the OOTC settler system. I need to make new form lists and duplicate and update about 500 looks records. These records will be used to allow a simple patch with a new lchar into Orphans of the commonwealth.

2. I am looking at releasing an ALPHA TEST version of the mod which will allow the possibility of the player having a choice whether to kill the children or set them on their way. By default it is 50/50 that they will die when injured enough or you will be given a dialog option for them.

This is thanks to the amazing scripting talents of SKK. He was kind enough to share his talents some time ago and I had to put a hold on that release due to real life. I am making some changes to mirror loot-able clothing and I will release that Alpha test in the next couple weeks.

Children of Fallout was created to add a new dimension to the post fallout world, one where life is hard, cruel, and unfair. Children don’t all become farmers, doctors, and helpers. They also become raiders, scavengers, captives, runaways, chem addicts, and deserters. Synth children work as killers and Gunner Children menace those foolish enough to cross them. Children who are indoctrinated into this difficult world all have different talents, and dispositions, and looks.

Immortal children are a thing of the past, welcome to the real fallout.

This mod adds hand placed, randomly generated children, as well as several different random encounters to the game. The highlights are:

-Hand placed enemy children who are randomly generated from lists of skills, AI styles, Hairstyles, race, and Gender. There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of possible combinations.

-Some children, like Ghouls and Synth children, will scale with the player. Other children only scale to an extent, but will always be somewhat weaker than the player the higher your level is. as it should be.

-There will always be children spawning BUT the rate for higher level children to appear is rare. because its a tough world out there.

-I have added numerous random encounters which draw from different unique lists. They will appear in ALL areas that are subject to the travel list including DLCs. I have worked hard to keep it lore friendly.

-A new skin texture (Thanks to Diverse Children!!) which is applied to all children.

— ALL of my children, lists, outfits, etc..are designed to be as integrated as possible for maximum compatibility. Things that touch the level lists should transfer to my hostile children, depending on if the author added to the base or top level lists.

-This Mod was cleaned in FO4Edit throughout creation.

Compatibility:

— Killable Children is NO LONGER NEEDED and SHOULD NOT BE USED.

— This mod should be compatible with other child mods such as orphans.

— There is a TEST PATCH up for Orphans of the Commonwealth. I am trying to allow Orphans to take advantage of the skins and huge numbers of looks for kids from my mod. I NEED PEOPLE TO TEST AND GIVE FEEDBACK.

This now needs to be placed AT THE BOTTOM of your load order. There are 2 reasons for this change

1. It now makes children ( ALL children) Killable and placing other mods under it may break that as it requires edits to several base races and children. This was the trade for making it ALL in ONE.

2. In addition, while 90% of my children work from duplicated, independent templates and parts, ect. there are a couple places they intersect the main files out of necessity. I limited this to the absolute lowest number of occurrences, but in order to prevent any unforeseen issues, it is best to have it last so things changed at lower levels will just be integrated into and used by the mod.

Face textures were created by highly editing the diffuse textures from RS Children Overhaul and Young Female Face Texture. The specular is from Young Female Face Texture.
The body texture was created by highly editing the SSS Body Texture for CBBE.

When you reunited with Shaun, were you disappointed he looked so ugly? Did you also realise had shared the EXACT SAME ugly face as every other child (all 10 of them) in the Commonwealth? Well I have hoped to remedy this with ANiceOakTree’s Diverse Children! This mod will give existing children unique appearances and add child settlers also of more diverse appearances. No longer will every female child and every male child have one face shape, one face texture and the same hairstyle!

— 4 new face textures for each gender (8 total)
— 3 new face shapes for each gender (8 total including vanilla)
— 12 new hairstyles for children, refitted from Commonwealth Cuts
— New body and hand textures for male and female

*The big update as you all may have noticed is currently MIA, this is due to the modder making the child outfits for me having IRL problems and not currently being able to finish them. One of the things I was going to add in that update was my child body textures which I forgot to pack initially, so I uploaded those in the Miscellaneous file section until I can do the major update with a FOMOD installer and other features.

Orphans is recommend for more functionality such as new clothes and even more children, put this esp lower on mod order. Diverse Children works with Better Settlers and mostly with Don’t Call Me Settler. However, there may be slight incompatibilities with DCMS, more testing may be needed. For all of these mods, put Diverse Children lowest on the load order.

Shoutout to Gift for letting me use framework of their mod, and looking into making Orphans of the Commonwealth and Diverse Children compatible.

Now with Make Kids Killable variant! There is a minor issue when you shoot children in the head that it may explode into gore, yet an intact head is still on the body. Thanks and credit to Abbalovesyou and Gift.

Рекомендации / Проблемы:
— Дети лучше всего подходят для фермерства или школы.

— Во время использования верстаков, дети могут вырастать до взрослого размера.
— Детей нельзя назначать на посты охраны.
— Дети бессмертны. Используйте мод Killable Children, чтобы они стали смертными.

НЕ совместимые моды:
— Все, которые правят списки товаров у торговцев (перестанут продавать одежду детей).
— Все, которые редактируют файл LCharWorkshopNPC
— Все, которые изменяют поселенцев (кроме тех, что в разделе «совместимость»)
